About Us

The Dolls, four bookish college girls, scour the world for the best books out there. Romance, Fantasy, Literature, Science Fiction, Horror? Not only do the Dolls read them all, but they leave no review unwritten. With additions like Classical Tuesdays and Top Ten Bee's Knee's Books, the Dolls will keep you on your toes. You'll fall in love with the all dolled up reviews of Kenna Lee, Babsie, Becky, and Rosie.

Babsie

Babsie has always been lost in a world of her own. As a hopeless romantic with a flare for the Neo-Victorian movement, you can often find Babsie sitting next to a large amount of flowers, nose deep into a book or her trusty kindle. While she tends to read classics (Sherlock Holmes being her absolute hero, and Dracula her most recommended book) she'll pick up anything that can suck her into a new world. She might be a Biology major hoping to someday work for the FBI, but that doesn't stop her from also being an intense theatre nerd (Sondheim rocks her socks), a writer (her possible minor) and a photographer (she took her own bio picture!) Babsie is from the not so subtle San Francisco Bay Area (in a little town lost in the fog), and believes that it's quirkiness has rubbed off on her.

Becky

Becky was always an adventurous child ( this often scared her mother). Growing up in a small town in New Jersey, you would usually find her having fun and getting herself in a whole bunch of messes with her friends. On days when she wasn't allowed to go outside she was sucked in adventures through reading. A passion that has only grown stronger with age. As being an adventurous person she is not afraid to read any book as long as she enjoys it. Besides reading crazy amounts of books, she also enjoys theater, singing, writing, shopping, swimming, traveling, and hanging out with her friends including the other Dolls! She also loves to watch movies and watches a number of TV shows. Becky is now a freshman in college with a major in International Relations. If you made her choose a favorite book then she would probably pick Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger.

Kenna Lee

Reading her first paper book when she was three, Kenna Lee usually has to tie a rope around her ankle to pull herself out of novels. Born and raised in a big city in Southern California, she enjoys the shopping malls and movie theaters that are always around her. But Kenna Lee really is a small town girl at heart. She usually enjoys your average young adult books and classics, but is never afraid to read a few paranormal and fantasy novels as well. When she is not pulling crazy all-nighters to finish a book she is writing, acting, snowboarding, playing the piano or hanging out with the lovely Dolls! Kenna Lee is a freshman in college with a double major in Creative Writing and Literature. Her favorite book has always been The Giver by Lois Lowry. Kenna Lee's quote to live by is Thomas Jefferson's "I cannot live without books!"

Rosie

Born in the bubble of Columbia, Maryland, Rosie might be considered your average suburban girl. That is, until you meet her. Besides her crazy love of books, Rosie enjoys writing, singing, theatre, baking, sewing, and even floral design! Her all time favorite book is Ella Enchanted. Her favorite food is Oriental Top Ramen or Mint Ice Cream but she still loves her Mom's cooking best! She's a sophomore in college with a double major in Theatre and East Asian Studies, as well as two minors in Chinese and Film Studies. Sounds like a lot of work! Don't worry though, Rosie will remain dedicated to The Dolls and the blogging world. Keep on reading!
XOXO
